.Formed in 1995 as a joint venture by CSX & NS as a transfer line between New England,  Long Island and New Jersey. The main commodities are cement, scrap, chemicals, wood products, intermodal, municipal waste, gravel & steel products. Motive power is  hand-me-downs from the two owners although NET has just acquired on loan an NRE Genset from Pacific Harbor Line #31 (PHL is owned by Anacosta which owns New York & Atlantic) for transfer & switching work.  Interchange is between NS, CSX, CPR, NY&A, P&W & Pan Am.
