This layout represents the Kentucky Division of the Illinois Central Railroad circa 1945. This division goes between Louisville, KY to Paducah, KY.

To build the layout, I am starting the layout by building Central City, KY. This section of the layout is 14 feet long in the current state with the bechwork complete and the track mostly installed.

My chosen construction technique is steel studs with construction foam. The trackwork is a combination of Atlas flextrack, Walthers switches and handlaid switches.
