RR Xing

The owner of GCRR took liberties as a freelance modeler to establish the Gulf Central Railroad (GCRR) as a class III railroad that provides commercial switching service to the town of Fulton. Fulton is purely a benefit of freelancing in which the owner built what he thought Fulton would have looked like in mid to late 1950s.

In 1950 the GCRR acquired its railroad and right-a-way within the town of Fulton Louisiana, and trackage rights over the Missouri Pacific Railroad from Fulton to DeQuincy La, which was a major division point.

The GCRR started operations in the fall 1950 and has seen good years with plenty of business for the railroad.
