Fictional Class 1 railroad.

The Gulf Coast & Western (GCW) was formed from a merger of the MoPac, SWSS and WP railroads.  The GCW withstood attempts to merge with UP, ATSF and BN.

The area covered is from New Orleans north to Kansas City and west to Califorinia.  All other class 1 railroads have track rights on portions of the GCW.

One of the major attractions for the GCW headquarters is the GCW Rail Museum.  This is my excuss to buy and operate the old stuff I like.

That is where I am at in my dream world, as I have not yet built a layout, due to lack of permant space and funds.
