The Denver Midland Railway was formed in 1912 by the merger of the Colorado Midland into the Denver & Salt lake Railway. The new railroad gave Denver a better rail connection to Salt Lake City, from which several railroads reached the west coast. The D.M. is set in 1948 and operates with its partner, the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy.
