Boomer Junction (885) features locomotives and cabooses from 14 US railroads,  passenger trains from 9 railroads and freight cars from 90 railroads that existed in the 1950's.  The scenes are based upon several different areas of the country and as such are a collage of US railroading from 1939 to 1969 ( my first 30 years).  Most of the locomotives are DCC equipped and many have sound.  The railroad, started in 1969 (had 1500 feet of track) is now being rebuilt in in second location.  This time the track will not be hand laid.  The benchwork is 70% complete and over 400 feet of track is operational.  This includes thirty-three turnouts of a planned 72.
