Ex-Illinois Central Loco Features Working Ditch Lights!
This loco is equipped with ditch lights that can flash or be always-on. The alternating flashing lights feature depicts prototypical lighting for road crossing and yard use. The ditch lights are controlled for both analog (DC) and DCC operation by a factory-installed DCC decoder. On a DC-powered layout, the DCC decoder is controlled via the power pack’s Direction lever. Note that the factory-installed DCC decoder controls the ditch lights only; to control the motor and headlights with DCC, a separate DCC decoder must be installed using the provided plug. Features of the factory-installed DCC decoder:
- Supports 2 and 4-digit addressing
- Each function number can be changed to another number
- Supports all programming modes
- High level consist function installed
- Automatically detects DC or DCC powered system
