On 20 December 1967 the United Aircraft TurboTrain rocketed to an amazing 170.8 MPH on the Pennsylvania Railroad in New Jersey – a feat which remains to this day the fastest speed ever achieved by a production passenger train in the United States or Canada.

Then, on 22 April 1976 a Canadian National TurboTrain travelling between Montreal and Toronto reached a speed of 140.6 MPH – a record that still stands in Canada. Now you too can run trains like a maniac with this, the first ever accurate model of the TurboTrain.

Both engines are sound-equipped, so your TurboTrain will roar at the front and the rear just like the real thing.

Canadian National converted its Turbos to 9-car trains; a complete train requires one each of #200005, #200501, #200502, #200503 and #200504.

Car numbers are accurate for the 9-car Turbo trainset known as CN-1.

Like the prototypes, the Power Cars of this set differ; #150 (PDC-27) is a TurboCoach, while #125 (PDC-26) is equipped as a TurboClub.

CN owned the largest fleet of TurboTrains and operated them between Montreal and Toronto and Montreal and Ottawa
